The CADSITE eDMS model consists of a MS 2008 licensed hosted Server and a master data storage solution, maintained by CADSITE. Client document metadata and associated images are stored on the data server and accessed by client approved users through simple Terminal Server remote desktop software. No other eDMS software is required on the users desktop or laptop computer. No ongoing client IT support is required and under a service contract with CADSITE - no capital expense to the client.
The CADSITE LaunchView document management software provides a repository for client document metadata and associated images. In addition the software provides functionality for searching, viewing and printing documents, maintaining document records, booking-out documents, revision control and numerous other management tools. The eDMS is available remotely 24/7 to mobile clients, staff and consultants. The remote server utilises users local and network printers
CADSITE can preform maintenance and on-going works remotely.
The server utilises Terminal Services and thin client software to provide access to the eDMS from local or remote desktops. Terminal Services software creates a 'virtual screen' of the eDMS application at the user's computer desktop. Users have access to their own desktop programs while the 'virtual screen' is active. Only users mouse and keyboard movements are sent to the remote server and refreshes of the 'virtual screen' are sent back to the user therefore minimising data traffic.
CADSITE can provide daily services for maintaining the eDMS system including training, standards compliance, software updates, index changes, inflow of documents and updating of data records on behalf of the Client.
Costs are determined by the initial work scope to compile the client metadata and on-going services contract.
